  1. Folks keep asking if my novel, The Silver Flask, is autobiographical. Quite the contrary, for my childhood in a dysfunctional family was often filled with moments of despondency, so I escaped to a world of phantasy where life was fun, normal and beautiful. My novels will always reflect on the joys of life and how great joy can overcome all diversity. Outskirts Press, especially Leona, helped me see a copy of my life’s dream in print. I am 86 years old and have limited income so I can afford no more efforts to publicize my novel. I do want to thank Outskirts Press for the distance they walked with me in my journey to share the joy of The Silver Flask with friends and family.

  2. I’ve nominated you for a very inspiring blogger award. http://bdhesse.wordpress.com/2014/08/22/very-inspiring-blogger-award/

  3. My experience in anything in life and in my pursuit of God and relationships with family and friends: You get out of it how much your heart desires to put into it. I too am just the creative writer and thus far have not sold a lot of books, but Outskirts Press gave me the opportunity to go with a much more knowledgeable marketing person than myself. If I’d had a bigger budget I would have done that, but their daily tips on marketing have been helpful. I’m thankful for Outskirts Press-it allows someone like myself to see a book that was prayed about, composed, and labored over with the question, “Can I really pull this off”? and then felt, touched, and read in my own hands as if dreamland was all along for real land. 🙂

  4. Networking and advertising for me are the more difficult parts. I’ve decided to sell the idea of the book and not the book. It seems to be fairing better. It’s difficult to advertise when you don’t have the ‘big bucks’ to do so. But, I keep pressing..

    1. Not one word in any blog or in any report or comments by Outskirts Press
that inform authors or prospective candidates for publication how many
books have been sold by any author or what the story is with respect to overall success of its authors over time. Something is very, very fishy. It’s time to tell us authors what is the benefit of advertising and other programs to market OP authors. Every publishing house with a hot selling author blasts how many have been printed and sold.

  5. As the Author of the highly recognized book Pullin Chains, I don’t take all the credit for any of the attention to details that Jerry and Brie gave to the book at Outskirts….Thank you for making me look so good on the world’s stage amongst many. http://www.outskirtspress.com/pullinchains see what I mean

    1. I just published with Outskirts Press. The verdict is still out. I’m waiting for sales. I might have to add more money for marketing help. Did you use their marketing packages?

  6. I have been published through a content house in the past. However, my interest is with informational articles. Is there any publishing group interested in these types of pieces?

  7. C.J.Jos, M.D author of the novel “Journey of a Marriage”
Outskirtspress was excellent in their professional management of my book publication. The team was extremely helpful from day one and the help still continues. Their quoted prices were reasonable and they never tried to mislead the customer. Congratulations to Outskirtspress for a job well done.

  8. I learned the A to Z of publishing a book (UGH). I only wanted to be involved in the creative part but that is the state of affairs in this industry today.

    1. I commiserate with your anguish. First we write a book with our creative juices flowing. And then we are back in the business world. I thought I had left my finance degree behind.
