Squirrels In The Attic is a two act play. Lindsay Spencer, a free spirited, single woman in her late twenties, returns to her parents’ apartment after she’s in an auto accident for which her father, Charles Spencer, feels guilty of causing. Charles dotes on his only daughter, but her mother, Florence Spencer, is a more realistic critic of her daughter’s shortcomings. Florence, loving, but ordered, lofty, and patronizing, is dismayed to learn that her husband has invited Lindsay to live with them while she recuperates from the auto accident. When Florence learns that Lindsay’s boyfriend, Claude (an aspiring comedian), is also moving in with them, she is furious. Florence gives Charles an ultimatum: either he uninvites them or Florence is leaving him…for good! The side-splitting conflicts of lifestyles, living arrangements, and Florence’s “secret life” not only bring about a greater understanding between mother and daughter, but also lead to a hilarious conclusion.

Also, Jarred Into Being, a novel, is another published work by this author.

Introducing Enrique Ayala, author of Reflections on Logic and Philosophy

“Thanks to the team that helped me to put this book together and publish it. Without you, I do not believe that I would have been able to publish this book. You did a good job, and for that I’m very grateful. I intend to continue publishing my future works with Outskirts Press. I told you in a message before that I want to do a Spanish translation of the book, though this will not be a translation of the whole content of the English version. When I’m ready to do this, I will let you know. Again I thank you for helping me to achieve my goal, and I hope to continue working with you.”

In my first book, I venture into the world of philosophical ideas and logic. Though I am neither a professional philosopher nor a logician, my previous studies as a student of philosophy and my experience as a former math/philosophy tutor gave me some understanding and insights into the nature of these subjects. I studied philosophy in the early eighties at City College in NY. From the middle of the nineties to 2008, I worked as a tutor at John Jay College, also in NY.

Product description…

The development of reason is one of the most important and fascinating episode of the human drama. Contained within its boundaries are philosophy and logic. Philosophy attempts to embrace the whole aspect of being. Logic outlines the structure of its language. Both combine to combine to form a harmonious synthesis of ideas. This book reflects some of those ideas.
